Valérie, founder & heart and soul of Swinging Oldies

Originally from La Rochelle, Valérie developed a passion for fashion at a very young age and, in 1995, turned her attention to this world, laying the foundations for a demanding creative journey.

A few years later, she moved to Paris—a city of inspiration and vibrancy—where she pursued her studies in fashion design. It was there that she honed her eye, developed her eye for detail, and forged her aesthetic identity.

Over time, her personal history and life experiences have nourished her vision: from this alchemy was born Je suis Swing, a brand intimately linked to her journey, at once sensitive, free, and profoundly authentic.

CREATIVE UNIVERSE & EXPERTISE

A passion for antique objects and the art of living

Val Bamboo has a true passion for collecting vintage clothing, which she carefully selects for its history and unique character.

This sensitivity to the aesthetics of the past is not limited to fashion: it also extends to interior design, where she likes to incorporate these elements

in order to create warm and authentic atmospheres in one's personal environment.

Her interest in period objects is also expressed through vehicles, to which she has a particular attachment.

In this Paris that she loved, Valérie did not hesitate to use her 1950s Triumph, a symbol of her taste for radicalism and originality, but also of her free spirit.
